Yoga Sūtra Chapter Three verse 16

परिणामत्रयसंयमाततीतानागतज्ञानम् ॥१६॥

pariṇāma-traya-saṃyamāt-atīta-anāgata-jñānam ||16||

Complete restraint on the three transformations,
knowledge of past and yet to come.

pariṇāma - transformation into; change, alteration, development, evolutiontraya - the three, triple, threefold, consisting of 3, of 3 kindssaṃyama - complete restraintatīta - gone by, past, passed away, dead; the pastanāgata - not yet come, not come, not arrivedjñāna - knowing; knowledge; higher knowledge
