Sāṃkhya Kārikā verse 56
ityeṣaḥ prakṛti kṛtaḥ mahadādi viśeṣa bhūta paryantaḥ | prati puruṣa vimokṣārthaṃ svārthe iva parārthe ārambhaḥ ||
