Sāṃkhya Kārikā verse 43

sāṃsiddhikāḥ ca bhāvāḥ prakṛtikāḥ vaikṛtikāḥ ca dharmādhāḥ |
dṛṣṭāḥ karaṇāśrayiṇaḥ kāryāśrayiṇaḥ ca kalalādyāḥ ||

ca - andbhava - re-emerge; coming into existence; birth; productionprakṛti - the original producer of the material world; nature or process of matter; nature, character, constitution, temper, dispositiondharma - essential qualities, according to the nature of anything; highest duty; customary observance or prescribed conductdṛṣṭa - seenkaraṇa - making, effectingāśraya - correspondence; that to which anything is annexed, or with which anything is closely connected, or on which anything depends or rests; substratum
