Sāṃkhya Kārikā verse 43
sāṃsiddhikāḥ ca bhāvāḥ prakṛtikāḥ vaikṛtikāḥ ca dharmādhāḥ | dṛṣṭāḥ karaṇāśrayiṇaḥ kāryāśrayiṇaḥ ca kalalādyāḥ ||
sāṃsiddhika - effected naturally, belonging to nature, natural, native, innate; self-existent, existing by its own nature or essence, existing absolutely, absoluteca - andbhava - re-emerge; coming into existence; birth; productionprakṛti - the original producer of the material world; nature or process of matter; nature, character, constitution, temper, dispositionvaikṛtika - subject to change; changed, incidental; a production or evolved principledharma - essential qualities, according to the nature of anything; highest duty; customary observance or prescribed conductādi - in the beginning, at first; beginning, commencement; a firstling, first-fruits; beginning with, and so on; and the restdṛṣṭa - seen, looked at, beheld, perceived, viewed, observed, noticed; visible, apparent, observable; considered, regarded; treated of; appearing, manifested; occurring, found; experienced, suffered, endured; seen in the mind, devised, imagined, learned,karaṇa - making, effectingāśraya - correspondence; that to which anything is annexed, or with which anything is closely connected, or on which anything depends or rests; substratumkalala - the embryo a short time after conception
