Yoga Rahasya Chapter One verse 84
yathā-adhikāram mantrāṇām prāṇāyāme prayojayet |
sarva-roga-cikitsāsu prāṇāyāmaḥ phala-pradaḥ ‖
According to one’s capability and reference,
yathā - according asmantra - a sacred formula addressed to any individual deity; instrument of thought; sacrificial formula; mystical verse or magical formula; incantation, charm, spellprāṇāyāma - extending the breathsarva - allroga - disease, infirmity, sicknesscikitsā - therapeutics; medical treatmentphala - fruit; consequence, effect; result; retribution (good or bad), gain or loss, reward or punishment, advantage or disadvantageprada - giving, yielding, offering, granting, bestowing, causing, effecting, uttering, speaking
Prāṇāyāma done along with Mantra yields fruits
in the treatment of all kinds of diseases.
