Yoga Rahasya Chapter One verse 42

prāṇa-prakopāt-sarvāṇi vikṣiptāni caranti hi |
manasā saha bāhyeṣu viṣayeṣu viṣātmasu |
tasmāt-prāṇam nigṛnhīyāt reca-pūraka-kumbhakaiḥ ‖

prāṇa - vital force; the breath of life; breath; inward airprakopa - effervescence, excitement, raging (of diseases, war &c); provocation, aggravationsarva - allvikṣipta - occasionally steady; able to withdraw itself from painful objectsmanas - mind; that which objects of sense affectsaha - accompanybāhya - externalviṣaya - an object; any object of affection or concern or attentionrecaka - exhalepūraka - inhalekumbhaka - retention
