Bhagavad Gītā Chapter Seventeen verse 22
अदेशकाले यद्दानमपात्रेभ्यश्च दीयते ।
असत्कृतमवज्ञातं तत्तामसमुदाहृतम् ॥ २२ ॥
adeśa-kāle yad dānam apātrebhyaḥ ca dīyate |
asat-kṛtam avajñātaṃ tat tāmasam udāhṛtam ||
kāla - time, a period of time; time of the world; season, the proper time or season for; black or dark-blue colour; time (as destroying all things); time of death; death by ageyad - who, which, what, that, whoever, which- ever, whatever, anydāna - the act of giving; to offer a gift, donation, gift; giving up; communicating, imparting, teachingca - andasat - unreal; wrongkṛta - done; made; accomplished; performedtat - that, thistamas - obscuring; mental darkness, ignorance, illusion, error; deprived of the eye's light or sight; darkness, gloom; the obscuration of the sun or moon in eclipses
