What are the advantages for those learning Yoga Practice and Theory Techniques, or Yoga Texts through small group single-topic Modules?

  • Modular programmes offering an individualised progressive pathway
  • Single topic specialisation for a study intensity and in-depth presentation
  • Exclusive learning environment supporting study and attention to the student
  • Traditional transmission between teacher and student to optimise absorption
  • Relevance to the individual’s situation through dialogue facilitating interaction
  • Studying practice and texts with a personal rather than teacher training priority

What are the options for Yoga Study within small groups of five students?

The Yoga Study Programme offers over 600 contact hours of two-day Workshops and four-day Courses, all with a single topic specialisation within groups of five students. Together they offer a deeper understanding of Yoga or Chant Techniques & Theory and Yoga Textual Studies. All the Module One Workshops are open to all. Progression to Module Two Courses and onwards, follow on within the same topic.

What are the Primary Areas for Study of Associated Yoga and Lifestyle Texts and Teachings?

As a student, we could consider six separate, yet related textual study areas that need to be prioritised and developed as an essential aspect of our Yoga journey and personal development according to the teachings of Krishnamacharya. Each textual topic offers a range of in-depth Modular Workshops and Courses for your personal study interest and development, or if relevant, professional skills.

“Yoga Practice is an essential part of Yoga Study.
Rather than Yoga Study being an essential part of Yoga Practice.”

Furthermore, as all the Modular Workshops and Courses are limited to a maximum of five students, they aim to facilitate an in-depth focus in terms of intensity, relevance to group situations, all within an exclusive learning environment.

The six links below will each take you to a page where you can explore an overview of the Yoga textual Studies that complement the Yoga Practice Techniques and Yoga Theory Study Modular Workshops and Courses.

Study of each of these six primary Associated Yoga Texts topics begins with a 2-day Foundational Module One Core Workshop as a starting point for the student. From there a Further Studies range of 4-day Modular Course options are available. Together they allow a uniquely comprehensive intensive exploration of all facets of textual and lifestyle teachings around Yoga.

The Associated Yoga and Lifestyle Texts Workshop and Course Modules total some 300 contact hours. However, a Core level of modular study workshops, totalling 60 hours can be undertaken, leaving 240 hours of Courses available for those interested in intermediate and advanced studies.

The Core level offers 60 contact hours of Yoga Textual Study comprising Module One Workshops on the following topics:
